Since we homeschool, I am always on the lookout for activities.
This is a fun activity for any kid -young or old- to enjoy!

A few years ago, I posted about Leaf Rubbing. It’s a fun any easy homeschool – or anytime – activity for kids to do to learn about trees and maybe just enjoy a little art time.
This year, like pretty much all others, we have a pile of all the pretty leaves that we found out on walks sitting on the kitchen table. And this year I started thinking about other things we could do with them…enter vellum!
I love working with vellum on my cards and have worked with it on other crafts (4th of July projects and Easy Halloween luminarias) and figured ‘let’s try it’!

The results were super adorable and would be cute made into luminarias or placed in a window, but while enjoying ourselves we figured – lets make a Halloween scene!

Halloween leaf rubbing scene complete with bats, jack-o-lanterns, and a not so scary ghost!
And then – How about Thanksgiving?!?

Thanksgiving leaf rubbing scene with a turkey, pumpkins, and white fluffy clouds!

What scene would you make?
