BEWARE: Coop of doom

A fun sign…right!?!
This sign was made at the same time as the pallet tombstones – made of pallets also – so budget friendly and a little rough so they look a little more Halloween like. I had actually thought about this sign last year, but when I went back to work, if fell to the back burner. I am happy that I was able to get it done this year, and I love how it turned out!
How to:
I took 5 pallet slats that were a little rough, but in decent shape, laid them down and nailed 2 half pallet pieces to the back.
After that I took the Coop of doom printable – that I have available here on MTdawn – and enlarged it to the size I wanted. To leave the image on the wood, use tracing paper under the design.
I figured it would be a great starter project for wood burning (That way if it came out badly, I could say it was done on purpose.). You could also paint it on. I decided to wood burn because I ended up leaving this out by our duck house, and didn’t want to seal it.

Skeleton ducks hanging out by the Coop of doom sign. Our ducks are a bit wary of them…

I made sure to color in the little fang…
If I get ambitious, I might add a chicken outline behind the duck…wouldn’t that be cute!
