Every year I love pulling out my little house at Christmas and set them up, but this year I wanted extend my little village happiness by making a Fall Village. The best part about this little village – cute (which is a must), but also quick (cause its already September!), and easy on the budget. Because I don’t know about you but dropping $50 on a little house that only comes out for a few weeks every year is a little out of my league.
So where do these little houses come from? Dollar Tree!
Supplies used:
- 3 little toy houses
- Craft paint (I choose a brick red, grey, sandstone, tan, brown and orange)
- White spray paint for plastic

Before I painted them their fun fall colors, I did spray them with a white spray paint made for plastic – for a couple reasons. One, it toned down the bright pink and purple that they were, and two, my own personal thought, it helped the craft paint adhere better.
After the spray paint was dry, it was time to get paining! AKA the fun part!

After everything was painted, it was time to set them up. I was able to find the mini straw bales and pumpkins at Hobby Lobby, which worked perfectly!

I also thought these would be cute lit up, so I pulled out some electric tea lights and slipped them inside the houses.
What do you think?
