I am going to admit to you right now...I am a clearance junkie! I am, I don’t try to deny it. It’s just who I am. Others who are clearance junkies also, will understand. Those of you who aren’t…well, you don’t know what you are missing!

That’s how I came across this die set. It is the Fright Night Circlescape from Honey Bee Stamps.

When I first received it, I pulled it out and pieced it together as is. I just wanted to get a feel for it. And while looking at it I thought – LAYERS! You gotta love foam dots, anyway I do. They give great dimension and depth to projects. So, I made it again, but this time I layered parts of it.

What do you think?

I think it came out great – my husband even thought it was cool, which is something special in my book (I have been crafting since before we got married, he has seen a lot of projects, and it takes a bit to ‘wow’ him). Anyway, the picture below shows the layering. The most bottom layer is the part that sticks out the most and it is actually 4 pieces of green with foam dots between each layer.

Layering also gave me the opportunity to slip the tombstones and pumpkins in, making them look like they were nestled in the grass.

Supplies used:

• 3 3/4 in circle die
• 4 1/4 inch open scallop circle die
• Cardstock: dark blue, yellow, brown, black, orange, yellow and green
• Orange with white dots 3/8 inch ribbon
• Foam dots

After I got the Halloween tag done, I kept looking at it – it really is cute, and then inspiration hit. It is really a cool die, and I thought it would be a shame just to use it for Halloween, so I tweaked it for spring/summer.

I adjusted the colors, changed the yellow moon into green leaves for the tree, and swapped the tombstones and pumpkins for flowers.

I think it turned out fabulously! And if you think it is cute in the picture, it is even better in person!

• Cardstock: Creamy yellow, blue, light green, medium green, brown
• Pink with white dots 3/8 inch ribbon
• Mini pearls
• 1/2 inch paper flowers, yellow and pink
• Foam dots

I did alternate the layering of the light green and dark green papers. On the side view you can see just a bit of the lighter green peeking out.
