A fun and spooky shelf sitter made from Christmas dies…

I have a few confessions to make…
- It’s a personal pet peeve of mine, that I buy something, use it once and it disappears into the black hole of doom (i.e. my craft room). So, when I am looking thru my stamps and dies (that I have cataloged) and come across something I haven’t used for a while I try to keep it out so I can use it.
- I love figuring out how to use products in different ways.
- And…at any one time I have about 40 different projects running thru my head. It’s true – it’s like some crazy circus that never goes away. Thats where this project came from!

Each section of this shelf sitter measure 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″
Total length is 13 5/8 (due to folds in paper/hinges)
Supplies used:
- Stampin’Up! Holiday Home stamp set
- Stampin’Up! Hometown Greetings edgelits dies
- Black cardstock
- Vellum
- Purple, green and yellow markers
- Black ink

How to:
Cut 3 pieces of black cardstock – 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. Position church die on paper, making sure it is straight and cut. Use the church die cut piece to verify level of other 2 dies. (i.e. make the ground look level!)
From all 3 black die cut pieces – cut off the trees and the snowman.
Cut 5 more pieces from black of the church cross, glue on the back to look like tombstones.
Cut 2 pieces of black cardstock – 1 1/2 x 3. Fold in half so they measure 1 1/2 x 1 1/2. These are to be the hinges between the pieces. Position them between the die cuts, on the back, and glue in place.
Cut 3 pieces of vellum – 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. Attach to the back of the die cuts.
Using markers, color in the windows for the buildings on the back of the vellum.
Stamp bats/ghosts using black ink. (I stamped the ghost on the back first, then turned it over, stamped off and added a ghost to the front.)
Place battery operated lights behind it.
