Bunny Bum Banner

Good morning! With Easter being just a few weeks away we have been making fun decorations. One of which is the Bunny Bum Banner. Isn’t this cute!

The nice thing is that it is made with punches. You can use dies if you have them – or if you don’t have either of those you could just trace circles using items from around the house (cups, bowls, etc.).

To make the bunnies you will need 5 circles:

  • 1 – 3 inch
  • 3 – 2 inch (one will be for the back of the bunny’s head to slip the sting thru)
  • 1- 1 1/2 inch
How To:

After all circles are cut out, take one of the 2-inch circles, and using the same punch, cut out 2 ellipses. You can see how it will look it in above in the picture on the right. The piece leftover can be discarded.

In the picture above I dry-fitted the pieces to see how they would look.

The smallest circle will be the bunny’s tail. I cut lines into it – making sure not to cut too far into the middle of the circle.

After the cuts are made, fold the edge up about 1/2 inch from the side. Then fold it again. It should be a little ‘poof’.

Below is how the bunny should look once the circles are glued together.

To make them into a banner, take the last 2-inch circle and add glue to the top and bottom of the circle, making sure that there is enough room to slip string thru.

I ended up using pastels to make the banner, but you can use any color you want.

Have a great day!
