Morning Chat – 1/24/22

Good morning! Isn’t the picture above awe inspiring? One of my favorite things to photograph are the little things. Ice crystals, like above, veining on leaves, the detail of a flower stamen, even the intricate detail of a dragonfly wing. And why do I like to? Simple…they give me hope.

With everything going on in the world, not just mine personally – but everywhere, politically, economically, the list seems endless – it seems like everyone would benefit from a little more hope. Even the upcoming posts that I have wrote for this week – which are about fear and confidence – would benefit from having hope.

Now, I am not so naive to believe that complete world peace will ever come (I do believe that it is always something to aspire to). Or that tomorrow we will all wake up and we will be ‘officially’ post-pandemic, and the world will be back to our 2019 normal. But even with that, that mind set makes it so that we are putting our hope in men…flawed men. Yes, maybe much more powerful and rich, but flawed none the less.

I choose therefore to put my hope in something higher. In someone higher.

I know that there are a lot of people that don’t believe in God, or at least are a bit upset with Him at the moment because of everything going on. Please remember that nothing going on in the world is Gods’ fault. He gives us freewill; we have done this all to ourselves. But if you don’t believe, or at least your belief doesn’t lean toward God, my wish for you is that you may find hope.

My NKJV bible that I use for study puts it this way:

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may be abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. – Romans 15:13

That’s were my hope lies. I pray that you have a good day and week, filled with peace and hope.
