Christmas cards
One sure fire way to get me into the Christmas spirit is to blast holiday music and make cards. Well, cards, tags, ornaments – you name it!

The card above that I have named Silver and Gold actually has one of my favorite techniques used on it. See the silvery color – its aluminum foil. I fold the aluminum foil over on itself 3 times (sometimes 4) and slip it thru my big shot in an embossing folder. I also love the big Poinsettia – and after I ran the red thru the machine I dry brushed red Perfect Pearls over the full flower and then used brads to keep it and the cut out Poinsettia together. I like it, gives it a little extra shimmer.
Here is a list of what I used to make Festive Season, everything except the Perfect Pearls were from Stampin’Up!:
Merriest Moments stamp set
Peaceful Poinsettia Stamp set
Detailed Poinsettia thinlits dies
Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder

For Merry Christmas, I actually bought the die just because I wanted to make a card like this (Yes, it’s a bad habit). But I really like it and can’t wait til I have more time to play with it. Before I slipped the paper through the machine with the die I put an adhesive sheet on the back. It was nice that all I had to do was peel the backing off and put it on the card. After they were adhered I took some shimmery white Perfect Pearls powder and dry brushed it over the card then dotted it with gold Stickles.
Besides the Perfect Pearls powder and Stickles I also used Stampin’Up! products for Merry Christmas, they are:
Christmas Pinecone dies
Merry Christmas to All stamp set
