Do you have little ones that need something to keep them busy – a kids lacing board might just help!

Before I had my daughter I never gave much thought to quiet, busy activities. But that really does change when you have little ones, especially if all you would like is 5 minutes of peace. The good thing is, these are very handy to have at church also. We have taken them and had many a child quietly playing with them while services were going.

The good thing about them is that they are easy to make – the ones above a store bought (or as it happened with us, family hand-me-downs) but with a little light cardboard, a paper punch and some shoe laces you can have one in no time.

I made the one above in no time, literally – maybe 3 minutes, it took longer to find the supplies then to make it. Just cut cardboard into a shape, punch, and get laces. You could even use yarn with the end wrapped in tape if you don’t have laces.
